Michelle Carey-Schmidt & Laurie Talevich
Michelle's twenty-five plus year career spans time as a Business Event Planner in Chicago and San Francisco to her experience as a Design Executive in commercial design. "I loved the excitement and fast pace of commercial design but residential design has always been my passion," says Michelle. "The home is so important to how we feel on a daily basis; it affects our emotions on so many levels. When you come home your environment should make you feel welcome, your furnishings should reflect your style and you should feel a sense of order and harmony”.
Laurie has had a love of design both in interiors and landscaping all of her life. Her interest in color, art and a passion for fine furnishings and decorative items translates to her surroundings. Having lived in both Southern California and now in the Los Gatos, Laurie applauds the beauty of the Bay Area and loves the bounty of our landscape. She has an appreciation of our local artists, our local wineries and our glorious artisanal foods. “Working with the Grand View League provides me with an opportunity to be involved in design and creativity and of course to support the goals of the league”.
Schmidt-Talevich will present a bountiful table that celebrates the beauty of finely crafted Arte Italica tableware & the magic of fine wines & foods.
