“Residential design has always been my passion”
Michelle's twenty-five year career spans time as a Business Event Planner in Chicago and San Francisco to her experience as a Design Executive at a Bay Area commercial design firm. Michelle has worked with some of America’s largest high tech companies to develop domestic and international interiors including visitor centers, tradeshow exhibits, mobile exhibits, museums and retail stores. "I loved the excitement and fast pace of commercial design but residential design has always been my passion," says Michelle. "The home is so important to how we feel on a daily basis; it affects our emotions on so many levels."
"When you come home your environment should make you feel welcome, your furnishings should reflect your style and you should feel a sense of order and harmony. We all have furniture and collectables that are from different stages of our lives that we just can’t or don’t want to part with. I think what I bring is the ability to reposition, repurpose and redesign those elements and incorporate them with new colors, new pieces and new placement to make your home a more refined reflection of you."
As the Tablescape Chair, Michelle’s significant role in helping to established and continue the Tablescape feature of the League’s Design & Discovery...DEDICATED TO A CURE event is greatly appreciated by all who delight in seeing the beautiful displays. Her creativity and dedication continue to be instrumental in bringing design talent and beautiful table displays to this highly anticipated feature of the luncheon. Examples of her own creations of past years are featured below.
